How is the system activated?

Available options include:
• 24/7 flashing
• Dusk-to-dawn
• Time clock
• Radar

Radar detection activation options include vehicle presence, speed activation and speed with classification activation.

Precipitation sensors are also available to tailor radar activation further in the event of inclement weather.

Are TAPCO's curve systems MUTCD compliant?

Yes. Each BlinkerChevron™ is MUTCD compliant and flashes to MUTCD section 2A.07. Our curve signs also use standard W1 legends sized to the needs of your road.

Do systems work on two-lane rural roads — or only highways?

Both. Systems are tailored to fit the contours of each curve segment, rather than the road class and can be adopted anywhere curve warning is needed.

What are the benefits of connecting my system to Smart Hub?

Smart Hub allows agencies to track status and health of all curve systems in your network. Other features include access to activation data, remote adjustments to flash patterns and custom reporting.

And, in the event of system knockdowns, key stakeholders can receive text or email alerts.

How long do the LEDs last?

Our one-watt LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours. To ensure longevity, the LEDs are environmentally sealed and embedded underneath 3M DG3 sheeting with an anti-graffiti overlay.
