Parking Management · Truck Parking Revenue
Make every truck parking space pay.
Plate recognition, gates, pay stations and validation that keep spaces for your fuel and food customers, charge everyone else, and keep the lot safe, designed and installed by TAPCO's in-house team.
How a controlled truck lot works
Drivers who buy fuel or food park free; drivers who only want the space pay. Every device is connected, so validated and prepaid drivers simply drive out.
-
Cameras at the entrance and at each exit read every plate, so validated and prepaid drivers leave without stopping.
-
Drivers take a ticket at the entrance; barricades along the lot make the entrance the only way in.
-
A gate arm with protective bollards in every lane controls who comes in and goes out.
Gate operators → -
Drivers who didn't validate or prepay pay at the exit lane.
-
A payment and validation station inside the store, and validation at the service center, so customers park free.
-
Message signs tell arriving drivers the rates and whether spaces are open.
Parking Guidance → -
AI cameras watch occupancy, dwell time and the entrance queue, and flag cars parked in truck spaces.
Parking Counting Systems → -
One place to watch validation, payments and occupancy, with remote device monitoring.
Safety in the lot
Big rigs and people on foot, in the same lot.
Heavy trucks share the lot with drivers walking to the store. Crosswalks, radar speed feedback and custom BlinkerSign® signs slow traffic and make pedestrians visible across the lot.
Every Truck Parking Revenue system is cloud connected

Frequently asked questions
Will our regular customers still park free?
That's the point of validation. At Racine PETRO, drivers who spend $50 in the store or buy 75 gallons of fuel park free for 24 hours, short stops of up to two hours are free, and drivers who only want the space pay $15 a night. You set the rules for your lot.
Who handles the concrete and electrical?
We supply and install the parking equipment and give your contractor the specifications for the concrete and electrical work, as we did at Racine.
Does every truck stop get the same system?
No. Every travel center is laid out differently, so our in-house designers, engineers and technicians design the system around your entrances, exits and store, from signage and ticketing to pay stations, plate recognition and gates.
Does this work for garages, hotels and other paid lots?
(depends on decision 2: whether this page covers paid parking beyond truck stops)
Tell us how many spaces you have, where trucks come in and leave, and what your regular customers buy. We'll design the controlled lot and the validation rules with you.
