You do not have to sacrifice function to have an energy efficient light any longer. The light output is similiar to a 150 watt halogen fixture but at about 1/6th the energy usage. Unlike compact florescent bulbs that take a long time to come up to full brightness on a cold day, the high output LED will turn on at full brightness immediately, even on the coldest days.
The passive infrared motion detector will sense a person walking up to 30 feet away. The LED is an excellent light source for use with security cameras.
